Purpose
This policy outlines our process for receiving, reviewing, documenting, and resolving grievances and refunds in a clear, timely, ethical, and fair manner. Our goal is to remain open and equitable to all parties involved.
Roles
The responsibility for creating and maintaining inclusive, non-discriminatory continuing education content rests with the Continuing Education (CE) Director, Taylor Gilbert, LCSW. Taylor regularly monitors and assesses program materials to ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and ASWB ACE standards.
All grievances are reviewed and resolved collaboratively by the CE Director, Taylor Gilbert, LCSW, and the Social Work Consultant, Faith Voss, LCSW. The Social Work Consultant is involved in the grievance review and resolution process to reduce the potential for bias, provide additional professional perspective, and strengthen decision-making regarding complaints or disputes.
How to Submit a Grievance
Participants who wish to submit a grievance must do so in writing via email.
Grievances should be sent to:
Social Work to Wealth
Email: info@socialworktowealth.com
Please include “Grievance” in the subject line of the email.
Feedback provided through course evaluation forms is not considered a grievance and will be used solely for quality improvement purposes.
Acknowledgment of Receipt
Participants who submit a grievance will receive an acknowledgment email within five (5) business days confirming receipt of the grievance.
Grievance Review and Documentation Process
When a grievance is submitted, the CE Director (Taylor Gilbert, LCSW), in consultation with the Social Work Consultant (Faith Voss, LCSW), will:
- Document all grievance reports
- Maintain a record of all actions taken to address the grievance
- Review grievances whether they are submitted to Social Work to Wealth ASWB, or another entity
A record of each complaint and its resolution will be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years.
Use of Grievance Information
Grievance information and resolutions will be shared internally and used by Social Work to Wealth to improve future courses, content development, and administrative processes.
Complaints About Course
When a complaint is received regarding course content, speakers, or facilities, it will be treated as constructive feedback. When appropriate, Social Work to Wealth may:
- Make edits or updates to course materials
- Discuss feedback with speakers
- Make changes to facilities or technology used
If additional clarification or investigation is needed, a representative of Social Work to Wealth may contact the individual who submitted the grievance to better understand the concern and work collaboratively toward a resolution.
Refund Requests
In general, refund requests for continuing education offered through the Social Work to Wealth Podcast are not provided. Any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Nonreceipt of Certificates and Miscellaneous Occurrences
Social Work to Wealth will make every effort to issue certificates of completion within 12-24 hours of course completion.
If a participant does not receive a certificate automatically following completion of a course, they should contact Social Work to Wealth via email at info@socialworktowealth.com. A certificate of completion will be issued within 30 days of receiving the request.
